People wanting to head to the Three Valleys and enjoy all of its perks without paying through the nose will find that Brides Les Bains is a fantastic option for ski weekends, it has been claimed.

The winter sports advice site Ski Buzz said that there are several smaller sites in the Three Valleys that are not as high profile as some of their big sisters, but are definitely worth considering thanks to their excellent value for money – with Brides Les Bains being top of the list.

It explained that the destination has a friendly French atmosphere, with traditional architecture and a "fantastic" mountain backdrop surrounding the town.

"As it's a functioning town year round, rather than a seasonal tourist resort, there is an authenticity to the place, with artisan bakers and shops selling regional cheeses and meats dotted throughout the streets. And if you are looking for an evening out, there are a handful of good restaurants and bars to choose from," the site added.

It noted that, although night owls used to partying the night away may at first believe that the town is a bit quieter than its bigger sisters, there are night clubs open after the bars shut, just like in other ski resorts.

In addition, for those who like a game of Blackjack or Texas Hold'em after the sun goes down, Brides les Bains is the only town in the Tarentaise Valley with its own casino.

With a natural spa offering some of the best relaxation treatments in the region at reasonable prices, Brides Les Bains ticks most of the boxes when it comes to exciting ski weekends, the source added.
