2011/2012!
Whether it’s
a weekend or a week you are after, the High Altitude slopes in the Chamonix
Valley caters for all standards. Famous
for it’s steep and deep off piste, you’ll also find beautiful tree lined runs
and sweeping wide slopes for beginners, wherever you are you have spectacular
views! There are five ski areas offering something for all
aspirations. Beginners will love the broad runs in La Tour, Intermediates can enjoy the long cruising
altitude blue and red runs of Flegere
- Brevent and Les Houches and those looking for a challenge will be amazed by les Grands Montets. 
Chamonix is great for non-skiers too with funicular trains and cable cars to
wisk you up the mountains. All the lifts
in Chamonix are serviced by a reliable shuttle bus included in the price of
your lift pass.
Chamonix old
town is compact and easily accessible with a cobbled pedestrian centre and a
river that runs through it. There are an
excellent choice of restaurants, bars and late night bars/clubs to guarantee the
excitement is not just confined to the slopes. For those looking for a more
relaxing après scene there is a cinema, a bowling alley, an ice rink and a
large sports centre with an indoor pool.
This is the resort with it all.
Half Board
accommodation on our coach weeks and weekends is at Hotel Le Vert, located just a short walk from town. This lively
hotel boasts comfortable traditional rooms, an on-site ski hire shop, and a
great menu in it’s own pizzeria and a lively atmosphere in its bar. Half board include 2 courses each night.
Les Houches - Kandahar World Cup - February 2012
February 4th
and 5th 2012 see the Chamonix Valley
play host to the Kandahar, Men’s Alpine Skiing World Cup in Les
Houches. Access to the slope sidelines
and finish line is free with a big screen at the finish line so you don’t miss
any of the action!
This
legendary race has become the main sporting event in Chamonix and is one of the
greatest downhill courses. The world’s
most accomplished downhill and slalom skiers come to compete on the challenging
course down through Chamonix and Les Houches.
