One sector expert has issued a number of tips to help those heading on bargain ski holidays cut costs.

OntheSnow.com said that online tools can help those venturing to Bride Les Bains to save money on essentials such as ski hire and also pick up discounts on activities when they get to the destination.

It added that people heading to La Plagne may want to keep an eye out for specials promotions which may make the cost of skiing on a weekend even less expensive.

"La Plagne and Les Arcs offers up to a 50 per cent discount for Saturday skiing, but only if you remember to print the coupon from the site," the source advised.

Meanwhile, a recent article by Cheap Ticket Links stated that ski holidays in France can be very affordable, as there are a number of bargains waiting to be snapped up.
