New Lift in Meribel

Now that the exceptional amounts of snow that fell in the 3 Valleys during the recent Alpine Ski Season have all but disappeared, thoughts are turning to next winter in the Alps. 

The major news announced this week it that the Plattieres lift which took skiers’ from Meribel Mottaret, up 734 meters in 22 minutes, is to be replaced by a new ten seat gondola. The new lift will cut the journey time to a mere 9 minutes, giving you even more time on the slopes whilst on a ski weekend.

However, this new investment does not come cheap; ski lift replacement is costing the lift company in the region of 17.2 million euros!
