After a period of glorious sunshine and hot weather the residents and summer holiday guests staying in Meribel, Three Valleys were surprised last week when they woke up to a scene more accustomed to those on a ski holiday in France.
Overnight a large dump of powder had fallen on the valley with 30cm of snow in places. The end of last winter’s weather was extremely warm and to some looking for a bargain ski holiday in France was a bit of a disappointment. How ironic then that there should be such an impressive dump in the summer months.
