Vallee Blanche
Chamonix Evolution 2 can offer you a ski guiding service to ski the infamous Vallee Blanche. This can be as part of a group day or by booking a private guide. You will be met, provided with the appropriate mountain kit to ski this run, and guided from the bottom of the Aiguille du Midi to the top station where time is made to take lots of photos on the viewing platform before being guided safely all day back to Chamonix down the Vallee Blanche. Heliskiing at Val Veny, Italy

Chamonix Ski Touring
For energetic skiers who love the idea of setting off on long-distance adventure, cutting themselves off from the world for a few days and skiing through endless landscapes and unusual places on fantastic and completely untracked off-piste runs, a ski tour is an excellent experience.
Routes range from 1 to 6 days depending on the tour chosen. The Val di Rhêmes, Wildstrubel and the Queyras are suitable touring locations for beginners, but do require good physical fitness and competent skiing ability. To complete the famous Chamonix-Zermatt route in six days you need to be an experienced off-piste skier and in excellent physical condition. Evolution 2 can prepare and guide you on these tours. The one day tours are an excellent way to gain a new high mountain experience while on your ski holiday in France.
Chamonix Ice climbing
Ice climbing is the amazing way to climb a frozen waterfall or glacier. This is a sport, not just for experienced mountaineers and Evolutions 2 has a range of courses from beginners upwards to experience this incredible winter sport. Some knowledge of ropes and basic climbing skills will give you a head start, but if you are a complete novice then your Evolution 2 guide will be able to teach you from scratch. Chamonix has a multitude of ice-falls and gulleys where you can experience ice climbing with a guide. Beginners can start off at La Crémerie in Argentière, while the more experienced can sample some of the many other sites around Chamonix such as the Sainte Marie viaduct and the Argentiere glacier.
Chamonix Snow Shoeing
For a truly unique experience, clamp on your snowshoes and or crampons and go hiking up the stunning Mer de Glace, Argentiere or Le Tour glaciers. There are many low level and high level trails in the Chamonix valley that mountain guides can safely guide you on, to give an away from it all mountain experience. You can tailor make your snow shoe trail or join a group.
The Mer de Glace is one of the longest and deepest glaciers in the Alps, moving at a 120 metres a year. To enter the glacier you clamber down long steel ladders but you forget the height once you start admiring the breathtaking views and crevasses below. If you're quiet you can even hear the ice moving.
