Saas Fee
Ski area
The ski area of Saas-Fee although not as extensive as nearby Zermatt is ample for a weekend skiing. It suits beginners and intermediates best and offers wide well-groomed pistes for long cruising runs. Gradients range from gentle blues, to slightly steeper reds but blacks are in short supply so the mileage hungry may struggle here. That said, the impressive 1800m vertical descent from the tops to the village offer an impressive test of stamina. With a glacier and exceptionally high altitude runs, Saas-Fee guarantees snow relaibility and is a sure to become a weekend skiers favourite.
