The 3 Valleys offer
some of the worlds best off-piste skiing so when you get tired of the
600km of groomed slopes and wonderful mountain restaurants you may
think about going off-piste. There is so much variety and choice you
can literally spend your whole ski break skiing off-piste, just be sure
to take some lunch with you.
The Chamonix Valley is an off-piste dream, headed up by the famous Vallee Blanche which enables skiing down from Mont Blanc from the imposing Aguille d midi. This is a 17km long run that descends past beautiful blue glacier faces. As the descent picks its way between hidden crevases, a Mountain Ski Guide is a must. Skiing the Vallee Blanche is an unforgetable experience that will be a highlight of any ski holiday. The Grand Montets area has several great off piste runs with the Pas de Chevre being a highlight. This fantastic off-piste run goes from the top of the Grands Montets down
to meet the Mer de Glace and then with good snow conditions you can ski down to
Chamonix, a vertical descent of 2300 metres!
