Chalet Jean-France is a real home from home, very comfortably furnished and our most popular short breaks and week ski chalet, so do book early. The chalet has now had a complete renovation inside and out, which fuses characterful décor with contemporary style; it is a wonderful place for a ski holiday!

Staying at Chalet Jean France will allow you the opportunity to genuinely ski to and from the door, enjoy après-ski bars on the doorstep and it’s just minutes away from the traffic-free resort centre, where there are shops, cafés and the brilliant Aquariaz water park. A ski school meeting point is just meters away.  You really are at the heart of everything with the chalet sitting between two ski-in/out Apres ski bars, one being the Folie Douce. During the evening the area around the chalet becomes calm and quiet apart from the jingling bells of the horse sleighs trotting past. The neighbouring bars close by 6.00pm daily, ensuring a relaxing evening in the chalet.  Early booking is recommended to secure your dates of choice, as this chalet is in very high demand

This Chalet has 6 good-sized ensuite bedrooms over two floors, each one with a shower and two rooms have a bath to soak in too.   All rooms have twin beds and all can be made up as doubles; please request at booking. There’s a spacious open-plan kitchen-diner on the first floor plus a lounge area with a TV and DVD player, an open fireplace and a balcony boasting lovely views of the slopes and stunning sunsets. The chalet has a ski room so ski and board storage is no issue and it has boot dryers too. There is a bag store available during the day if you would like to ski on your arrival and departure day.

A snowcat resort taxi on arrival and departure in Avoriaz is included.  This is a fun ride in a piste basher style vehicle, saving a 5 minute walk across snow from the Avoriaz Welcome Station (airport transfer drop off point and car park) to the chalet door, or you can take a magical horse and sleigh resort taxi (payable locally).  

Chalet Jean France is a catered chalet with our Classic chalet board which consists of a continental with a cooked option breakfast, delicious afternoon tea and cake and a 3-course evening meal with wine included, all provided by your friendly SkiWeekends host who lives out. Please note our chalet staff have 2 days off a week, a Wednesday and a Saturday. On these days they will leave continental only breakfast and afternoon tea out for you, but the evening meal is not provided, which gives you an opportunity to dine out in the resort, where there are plenty of lovely local restaurants, not to mention an excellent choice of bars and shops.

• Thursday for 4 nights - ski 4.5 days
• Monday or Thursday for 7 nights  - ski 7.5 days

Chalet Hosts days off are Wednesday and Saturday

Check in/Out - On your arrival day you may access the chalet anytime from 0930 to change, leave you bags and go skiing. Your bedroom will be ready by 5pm at the latest but normally earlier. On your departure day checkout is at 9am, but we know that you may want to ski as late as you can, so we will ensure that there is somewhere for you to leave your bags and change up until 5pm. Where possible a shower will be made available for you to use too, this cannot be guaranteed until your departure day however.

Transfers

 Shared Geneva airport transfers included:

• Monday & Thursday only
• You will be scheduled onto a transfer within 2 hours of your scheduled flight landing time
• Arrival transfers - available throughout the day until 16:45 (book flights to land no later than 16:00) 
• Return transfers  - available throughout the day up until 17:00

Resort snowcat taxi included.

If the shared transfer times are not suitable, please enquire about private transfer upgrades with a supplement
