'Have a laugh' in Alpe d'Huez

17 October 2008
If you're in need of some light relief this winter, then a trip to the Alpe d'Huez International Comedy film Festival could be just the ticket.

Taking place from January 20th to 25th, the festival features a selection of full-length comedy films, as well as ten unpublished shorts.

Festival screenings are free to attend and, according to organisers, the event is the only one of its kind in France.

Films are screened in their original language and feature subtitles where appropriate.

One of France's oldest ski resorts, Alpe d'Huez has much to offer British visitors and is an ideal destination for those looking to take a winter ski holiday.

Alpe d'Huez has terrain to suit skiers of all abilities and forms part of the famous Grandes Rousses ski area, which combines a number of resorts including Auris-en-Oisans, Huez-en-Oisans, Oz-en-Oisans, Vaujany and Villard Reculas.
