Ski passes to make Alpe d'Huez even more appealing

The resort of Alpe d'Huez is set to become even more popular this year as a number of ski pass promotions are being advertised in the area.

People looking for ski holiday deals will be able to pick up a pass for the 2009-10 ski season for €8 (£7 million) less if they choose to spend a Sunday on the slopes, whereas those putting their skills to the test on the Saturday will benefit from Les Promos Samedis.

This unique promotion will be available on certain Saturdays in January, March and April, and will also allow snowboarding and skiing enthusiast to enjoy their favourite pastime at a lower price.

Finally, the Tribe Pass allows those travelling on cheap ski breaks in a group of four to benefit from a multiple person discount of as much as €13.

In other news, a recent study conducted by Visa Europe showed that many people are now choosing to boycott longer summer beach holidays in favour of going on multiple short ski holidays throughout the year.
