Those thinking of booking short ski holidays next year should consider going overseas at Easter, one sector expert has pointed out.

A recent article on TravelBite.co.uk stated that this time of the year is likely to offer those on cheap ski breaks plenty of opportunities to sample the sights and sounds of Europe's finest slopes.

As Easter is at the very beginning of April next year, the source said that couples or groups will benefit from the very best snow that France, Italy and Switzerland has to offer, as well as some sun to make it sparkle.

"Depending on snowfall, this could be another good opportunity to squeeze in a ski break - and with the warmest temperatures. But again you have to watch out for the school holiday crowds," it advised.

Recently, the publication also suggested January is a good time to go on bargain ski holidays, as travellers are likely to avoid the Christmas rush and will be able to savour the slopes when the snow is at its optimum depth.
