People heading on skiing holidays for the half-term are set to get some good conditions, according to weather reports.

The Ski Club of Great Britain said that all across Europe good weather is being seen and snow is falling.

It added that the Three Valleys area has seen some "fantastic powder conditions" this week, ideal for those taking skiing holidays this weekend.

Marguerite Nice, a Ski Club of Great Britain rep in Meribel, added that the slopes were "benefiting from the new snow". The Courchevel rep added that the resort has "perfect powder".

The ski club added: "The outlook for most of Europe is for a cold weekend with temperatures warming towards the end of next week."

SnowForecast.com showed good signs for those heading on skiing holidays to La Plagne, saying that more snow was forecast for today. Temperatures dropped to -19 degrees C yesterday, meaning there is no chance of the powder melting.
