Novices and experts alike can benefit from using instructors while on their ski holidays, one expert has said.

Guy-Aime Hudry, head manager of Ecole du Ski Francais, said that beginners will be able to benefit from lessons with qualified professionals which can help to ease them into the activity.

However, even experts might want to pick up tips from the very best and remind themselves of some of the more advanced manoeuvres, Mr Hudry noted.

"Hiring an instructor is a good way to enjoy skiing without taking care of where you have to go. Ski instructors know the slopes very well and can choose the itinerary according to [the] quality of snow, hours of sunshine and the landscape," the expert added.

His comment follow the publication of a report by Association of British Travel Organisers to France, which predicted that the coming days will see substantial snowfall across the country's ski resorts.

Fantastic Short Ski Holidays in France.
