Skiing holidays in La Plagne will not disappoint food lovers, thanks to the wide range of restaurants in the region.

One of the facilities is the Little Red Riding Hood, which provides those on skiing holidays with rustic cuisine in a farmhouse setting designed to evoke a traditional mountain atmosphere.

Alternatively, travellers could take a trip to the Matafan, a bar-restaurant in Belle-Plagne which offers "a perfect fusion of traditional Savoyard specialties and semi-gastronomic dishes", according to the proprietors.

Meanwhile, the Forperet mountainside restaurant offers a selection of local cheeses to give holidaymakers a true taste of French cuisine following a hard day on the slopes.

Otherwise, Frederic Grillet's restaurant, named C, aims to put a unique twist on a range of traditional dishes.

Those heading on skiing holidays in La Plagne may be able to indulge their eco-friendly attitudes, according to Jeremy Smith, author for Rough Guides.
