Snow Train cancelled for 2010 - 2011 season

16 June 2010
Ski news brought to you by skiweekends.com, specialists in ski holiday deals and cheap ski breaks.

The choice of how to travel to a ski holiday in France will be reduced again in the 2010/2011 season. Rail Europe has confirmed that the Snow Train will not be running for the 2010/2011 season.  This will be the second consecutive season that this service from the UK to the French Alps will not be running.

For anyone that experienced the infamous disco carriage on this service, while being sped through the night to their ski break, will be dissapointed that for a second season this fun, carbon considerate travel option to a ski holiday in France will not be available.

The loss of such a service will reduce the train travel options for Winter sports travellers wishing to make their way to a ski holiday in France without having to fly and to those who wish to consider their carbon footprint.

An alternative travel option to consider for the carbon consious traveller and for those who hate the hassle of flying, would be to take the coach to a ski break in France.  Coach ski holidays with skiweekends.com will enable skiing from premier resorts such as Meribel and Chamonix.
