The snowfall in La Plagne is looking good for people heading on skiing holidays to the resort in the coming weeks, it has been claimed.

IfYuoski.com reported that there has been plenty of snowfall in the resort in the past few days, providing people on a ski break with excellent conditions for schussing and slaloming down the slopes.

Virginie Bernat, from SkiInfo France, told the source that winter sports enthusiasts are likely to see some great late-season snow to ensure their skiing holiday goes without a hitch.

"Winter 2009-2010 is positioning itself as one of snowiest in the last thirty years. The snowfalls have been substantial and regular during this winter. Most French resorts are still open, the ski season is not over," she said.

Recently, the local authority in the resort installed a biomass heater which has replaced a petrol heating system that was formerly in place in order to make the area more eco-friendly.
