People heading on short ski holidays this year have been advised to take out travel insurance to ensure their trip goes without a hitch.

The Ski Club of Great Britain has launched a new campaign to persuade those heading to resorts such as Isola 2000 to get covered before they get on the coach or plane.

Caroline Stuart-Taylor, chief executive of the Ski Club of Great Britain, said that travel insurance is one thing which winter sports enthusiasts often forget to take care of before they depart.

"The Ski Club urges people to check that they are covered for winter sports and that they read the small print to ensure all activities they will be participating in are covered," she said.

Recently, Christian Young, director of AA Travel Insurance, recommended people heading on ski holidays to Isola 2000 make sure they are insured so they have the best possible time on the slopes.
