Ski holidays in France remain the most popular form of winter sports break with British travellers, one source has pointed out.

A post on the All About Ski blog noted that resorts such as Brides Les Bains, Chamonix and Meribel continue to tick all the boxes for skiers and snowboarders alike, many of whom return to the resorts every year.

It explained that, despite the allure of more far-flung ski destinations, the range of challenging slopes, great apres ski entertainment and friendly locals means that France remains top for ski holidays.

"It also has some of the best cuisine in the world and, due to having the highest mountains in Europe, you can be fairly certain that you'll actually have real snow to ski on," the source noted.

Recently, a post on the Children Garment blog said that any area of the Three Valleys region can provide people with great vistas, but Brides Les Bains in particular is a beautiful resort.
