The new additions to the resort of La Plagne will help to enhance ski weekends for people travelling to the resort, one sector expert has stated.

According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, improvements such as the two extra six-seater chairlifts will help to reduce queue congestion and give people more time to schuss and slalom down the slopes by adding to the ten chairlifts already situated there.

Meanwhile, a new snow cannon will help to ensure that the slopes are always in perfect condition to turn and burn on, whatever the weather.

The source commented: "Coverage will be extended extended from Emile Allais to the start of La Roche and on the Levasset run up to the top of Quillis, making a total of 108 hectares covered by snow cannons."

New and returning holidaymakers in La Plagne will be able to try out a new piste in La Plagne this season, which greatly increases access to the resort from the Bellecote glacier and Glacier de la Chaiupe, Les Arc Net recently pointed out.
