The skiing conditions in La Plagne are looking very promising for those going on discount ski breaks in the resort in the coming weeks, one winter sports expert has said.

Tim Wilson said that the snow cannons which were employed to give a good base in La Plagne are no longer needed, as the snowfall has been excellent in the resort in recent days.

He revealed that he has had the chance to have a few runs down the mountain and found the conditions to be well-suited to schussing and slaloming.

"It has been snowing throughout France with more due over the weekend. The on-piste conditions at high altitude are surprisingly good in places and hopefully this current snowfall will be a bit heavier lower down," Mr Wilson said.

These comments were recently backed up by Natives.co.uk, which pointed out that La Plagne is currently experiencing ideal snowfall, which is sure to provide great conditions for those on skiing holidays.
