One winter sports enthusiast has said his recent trip to Morzine was a great short ski holiday and one he would go on again.

Jeremy Skidmore, writing in the Daily Telegraph, said that Morzine has a "buzzing" nightlife, meaning that people on ski holidays in the resort will never be short of places to go to enjoy themselves.

He explained: "Among the restaurants worth a visit is La Flamme, just off the main street, where a hearty meal and a decent bottle of wine will set you back around €40 [£36]."

The expert added that the resort is excellent by day, with the wooden chalets and snow-covered hills helping to create a "picturesque" resort which he said is far prettier than some other ski areas.

Meanwhile, those heading on short ski holidays in Morzine in the coming weeks will be able to make use of a new map from Wipeout, which doubles up as a goggle lens cleaner and aids navigation around the slopes.
