People heading on skiing holidays in Courchevel in the coming weeks will find that the resort is one of the most picturesque in the world and highly unlikely to leave them disappointed, it has been claimed.

Chris Leadbeater, writing for the Daily Mail, said that Courchevel is a "chocolate box" location which evokes memories of traditional winter scenes, despite having all the modern facilities to make ski holidays in the resort highly enjoyable.

"The protected expanse of the Vanoise National Park lies close at hand, while Mont Blanc, Europe's largest mountain - home to the roof of the continent at 15,781 ft - is visible from the slopes," he explained.

Mr Leadbeater added that one of the best bits of a skiing holiday is the long run down from Sauliere, with both black and red slopes taking winter sports enthusiast to Courchevel 1850.

Meanwhile, people on skiing holidays in Courchevel are also guaranteed some of the finest dining in the world, as the most recent Michelin Guide gave the resort 11 stars for its excellent cuisine.
