Skiing holidays in France have proven very popular in 2010 as people see the allure of a trip to the slopes, it has been claimed.

Vanessa Fisher, a spokeswoman for the Ski Club of Great Britain, said that the promise of excellent weather conditions has been a major reason why people are booking trips away, particularly to resorts such as Morzine which have seen heavy snowfall.

According to the specialist, the terrain on the mountains has been ideal for winter sports enthusiasts, and people of all ages and abilities have therefore been taking advantage of special offers and going to the slopes.

She said "there's a good range and a variety of skiing terrain", adding that this will continue to pull in people to resorts such as Morzine all the way up until the end of the season.

Recently, Clare Mann, writing for the Daily Telegraph, said that she paid a visit to Morzine and found that the weather conditions in the resort were perfect for winter sports fun.
