People heading on skiing holidays to any of Europe's top destinations in the coming weeks will not be disappointed, according to one source.

Industry expert John Shurme told the Ski Club of Great Britain's website that there has been fantastic snowfall across Europe in the last seven days, with resorts such as Courchevel experiencing up to 15cm of the white stuff.

Last week, he reported that there was heavy snowfall in most of the major resorts throughout the morning, which gave way to "perfect blue skies" after lunch and provided ideal conditions for people on skiing holidays.

"It was a big snow day in the northern French Alps on Sunday, with 15 resorts reporting 15cm of snow or more," the site said.

Les Arcs was one of the resorts which enjoyed snowfall over the weekend and people who do go there in the coming weeks will find that it is a stunning destination with plenty for skiers to do, said Simon O'Hagan, writing for the Independent.
