The current weather conditions in Val Thorens are perfect for people heading on skiing holidays in the resort, it has been reported.

In its latest snow report, the Guardian revealed that Val Thorens saw consistent snow last week and temperatures remained suitably low, providing a perfect covering for those on ski holidays to schuss and slalom down the slopes.

Many of the continent's top resorts received up to 15cm of snow last week, with Val Thorens seeing substantial overnight snowfall on Thursday (January 28th).

"On Thursday, Courchevel and Val Thorens received 6cm and 5cm respectively. Temperatures are expected to remain low this week, and more snow is forecast: Morzine, Les Gets and La Clusaz are all expecting up to 30cm," the newspaper said.

Meanwhile, Mark Palmer, writing for the Daily Mail, recently spoke of last year's trip to Val Thorens which involved taking part in a fancy dress jamboree as part of the Altitude comedy festival.
