Winter sports fans 'returning for skiing holidays'

Though the firm grip of the recession prevented some people from heading to the slopes last year, this will not be the case in 2010, one source has said.

A new report issued by the Post Office has revealed that 80 per cent of winter sports enthusiasts who did not head on discount ski breaks in 2009 will be returning to the mountains in the next 12 months.

The organisation recommended that this group takes out adequate travel insurance to ensure peace of mind and make sure their skiing holiday in Morzine or one of the continent's other top resorts goes without a hitch, with multi-trip cover one way of lowering the cost.

Meanwhile, John Fitzsimons, writing for, recently said that those heading on skiing holidays in Morzine should take a European Health Insurance Card with them to provide peace of mind.
