The atmosphere in La Tania this winter is better than ever, according to one source, which has pointed out that the resort's 20th anniversary celebrations are now in full swing.

Originally built for the 1992 Winter Olympics, the resort is now open to the public and boasts some of the most challenging ski runs on the continent, with special competitions set to take place throughout the winter to mark the occasion, pointed out.

It explained: "Commemorating its 20 years in the business, celebrations and fireworks display are expected throughout the winter season. Non-skiers will also find La Tania an enjoyable place, thanks to snowshoe walks, paragliding and dog sledding."

The source pointed out that one-day passes to Courchevel are also being handed out to mark La Tania's 20th birthday, which provides even greater options for those on ski weekends.

Recently, a post on the Travel Leisure blog pointed out that the wide variety of runs in La Tania are suitable for experts and novices alike, while there are also some great intermediate slopes.
