Katie from the sales team experiences SkiWeekends first hand

26 February 2013

Having spent the majority of the winter discussing our many SkiWeekends options with clients, it was time to experience our popular coach option for myself. After throwing some ski kit together for myself and my boyfriend we headed up to Stop 24 to join our coach that would take us to the Chalet Gourmet in Morzine.

It really is as easy as it sounds, jump on the coach and relax all the way to resort where you are greeted by the fantastic staff who are on hand to help you throughout your stay. The chalet itself has a real home away from home feel to it, whether you’re looking to chill out in front of the log fire of an evening or head out with your new found friends to see what Morzine has to offer by night. The location of the chalet is really something to be envied, down a quiet side street in the centre of the town, with lovely views and just a 2 minute walk to get to the Morzine lifts, bars and shops.

Morzine itself is perfect for a weekend getaway whether you’re a seasoned snowboarder like myself or a complete beginner who has no idea how to attach himself to his bindings. There are plenty of forgiving runs to fall and learn down while still having plenty to do for the more experienced, including snow parks for the adventurous! The mountains are full of lovely little cafe’s to stop for a warming vin chaud or hot chocolate while admiring the beautiful scenery. I would thoroughly recommend the Gourmet and its staff and wouldn’t hesitate to jump back on the coach and head straight back given half a chance!
