New ski patrol set up at Meribel-Mottaret

A new patrol has been set up on the slopes of Meribel-Mottaret to help provide advice to people on ski weekends and ensure their trip goes without a hitch.

The Ski Security Patrol has a number of responsibilities, including keeping an eye on all of the action on the slopes and issuing advice to anyone who requires it during their stay.

Members of the unit will be deployed throughout Meribel-Mottaret, providing assistance at the ski lifts, the top and bottom of the runs and in the village itself, where they will be able to direct people to wherever they need to be.

The motto of the patrol is to 'inform, deter and prevent', with members encouraging those on ski weekends to be in control, respect others, be aware of speeding and increase their overall awareness while in the resort.

It may also not stop at Meribel-Mottaret, as Herve Lenoire, director of operations, told "If the scheme is successful then the security patrol could be seen in the whole of the 3 Valleys."
