Although Chamonix's runs rival the very best in the world, let alone Europe, the resort also has some fantastic off-piste opportunities for people on ski weekends, it ahs been observed.

The Daily Telegraph noted that those in search of a bit of extra adventure during their winter sports trip will find that Chamonix's off-piste scene is every bit as thrilling as its famous slopes, and perhaps even more so.

There are great opportunities to learn hot to tackle uneven and challenging ground and also chances to learn about ski safety in an even broader sense than you usually would, the newspaper explained.

"Some courses run the whole week, but it's usually possible to join for a day or two. There are courses in avalanche awareness, crevasse rescue and winter mountaineering for the more adventurous," it added.

Meanwhile, according to Asda Travel Insurance, there is a good reason why Chamonix consistently appears in travel guides places to be when it comes to winter sports, as the resort truly has something for everyone and is unlikely to disappoint anyone heading on ski weekends there in the near future.
