People heading to Chamonix in the near future have been advised that the nightlife will be an integral part of their ski weekends.

According to the advice site Ski Pad, Chamonix's apres ski scene suits people of all ages and tastes, with dozens of different venues each offering something unique.

"There's no lack of social entertainment in this valley. From old school Chamonix ski school bars to elaborate, funky night clubs; nearly everyone can find their calling in town," it added.

The site recommended a few places in particular, advising people to head to Chambre 9, which offers great apres ski entertainment for 20somethings, or Les Caves du Pele, which has a tranquil setting and offers reasonably priced wines, cheese and charcuterie.

Another option is The Choucas, one of the oldest bars in town, or The Mix, which is a relative new venue offering tasty drinks in a good location, with plenty of DJ sets, the source recommended.
