Celebrities join bankers on the slopes of Courmaye

Employees from the City of London and a range of celebrities descended on the Italian ski resort of Courmayeur last week, it has been revealed.

According to reports from Metrosnow, the annual City Ski Championships took place on March 19th at the Alpine location, with more than 150 racers getting involved in the competition.

Teams from organisations such as Lloyds TSB, Accenture and Savills all participated in a variety of events - such as the parallel slalom and giant slalom - and were joined on the pistes by names such as former Formula 1 driver Damon Hill, ex-hurdler Colin Jackson and comedian Marcus Brigstocke.

The news source went on to say as much fun was had by the skiers at night as in the day, stating: "As always at this lively event, participants and organisers put monumental efforts into apres and the resulting hangovers prevented all but the hardiest from skiing on Sunday before heading back to London."
