After one of the best ever winters in the Alps, which has seen record levels of snowfall across almost every resort, the snow just keeps on coming.

People heading on ski weekends in the coming days will benefit from colder temperatures, crisp surfaces and excellent skiing conditions, according to the advice site On the Snow.

"It's all set to change this week. Temperatures will drop and the snow clouds will move back in March 3rd to 11th, bringing dumps of up to half a metre on the Alps," the site noted.

Overall, the most snow is set to fall in Switzerland, which will see up to 40cm of the white stuff, followed by Italy with a similar level, and France, which will see up to 20cm fall over the next few days.

One thing is for sure – the season is far from over and there are plenty of opportunities left for people to take advantage of the great conditions and enjoy thrilling ski holidays.
