A firm favourite year after year, guests return and the new ones say "we can't believe it's this nice", the Hotel Verseau is a truly relaxing place to stay. With the friendly French owners on hand, all you have to worry about is your skiing technique!
Bedrooms are spacious and well-equipped and all are ensuite; most have walk-in showers, a few have baths. There is a great variety of rooms available, including singles, double/twin, triples and a few quad rooms.
Your Ski Weekends package will include a daily buffet breakfast. If you wish, you can upgrade to include a fixed 3-course menu each evening at the hotel.
After dinner, enjoy a relaxing drink in the bar in front of the roaring fire, or on lighter days enjoy the view along the valley and over the hotel terrace, garden and outdoor pool (not available for use in winter months).
Tuesday is the hotel team's day off, so the restaurant and bar area are closed after breakfast for the day. This provides the perfect opportunity to try a local restaurant and some fondue, tartiflette or other Savoyard specialities.
Every Tuesday evening a free local bus service operates up to Méribel, leaving Brides at 8 pm and returning at midnight (please check locally for more details and don't miss the last bus back down!).
Hotel Verseau is a 10-minute walk from the Olympe gondola (but you can catch the free town shuttle bus at the bottom of the hotel driveway, it comes past every 10 minutes, and takes less than 5 minutes to reach the gondola). The gondola ride up to Méribel takes 20-25 minutes.
The elevated position gives great views of Brides Les Bains and beyond, up to the snowy peaks of the Vanoise Massif mountain range. It's just a 5-minute walk into the town with bars and restaurants, casino and the luxurious spa for which the town is famous for.
