APRES SKI IN CHAMONIX
Excitement is not contained to the slopes in this resort and for those that are after some après ski in Chamonix, there are a vast selection of bars to choose from, ranging from lively vibrant venues to the more sophisticated and chicer spots much like the Lapin Agile (a relaxing Italian wine bar), which offers a more relaxing après ski destination.
If you are perhaps looking for a more vibrant and upbeat après ski scene then you need to try out the Chambre Neuf, located near the train station. The Chambre Neuf attracts some of the area’s best live bands and hosts plenty of table dancing (especially during happy hour which starts at 8 pm!) all the way until close of play at 1 am. Another similar bar to try is La Terrace at the centre of town where you can enjoy the jaw-dropping scenery out on their large terrace during their happy hour from 4-6pm each day!
One place that beer and ale lovers MUST try is the Micro Brasserie de Chamonix (or MBC for short). Here they have a superb selection of beers and fine ales on sale, with some excellent live entertainment to enjoy with it. Located just out of the town on the Route du Bouchet, it is definitely worth the journey.
New to the 2018/19 season will see the introduction of the 'Folie Douce Hotel' which will offer various apres ski options that will be well worth a visit on your trip to Chamonix!
Chamonix Nightlife
For those after a taste of some the famous Chamonix nightlife, there are plenty of bars and late night clubs around to suit all groups. A particular favourite amongst visitors and locals alike is the Rhododendrons in Flegere which has live music and a terrific atmosphere. Or in Chamonix centre, Mill Street is also the popular place to go. With the majority of bars open until late evening (or early morning) you can probably write off having an early night!
With bars like The Pub showcasing live sports in a more familiar British pub décor, or the elegant Le Caves du Pele wine bar, there is something on offer to suit all preferences. La Yaute (which doubles up as a Tex Mex restaurant) has a quiz night every Thursday evening from around 10 pm and is open throughout the afternoon and evening from 3pm-2am. What could be better? Well, the half price fajitas on a Tuesday is certainly a real treat, as is Happy Hour from 4pm-6pm daily! Enjoy all this with some music in the background and a pool table at the ready. Le Maison des Artistes Jazz Club offers some soulful music to groove to whilst looking out onto Mont Blanc from 5pm-1am daily with a selection of traditional lemonades and delicious cocktails.
Finally, the night owls in the group need to try out the club ‘Amnesia’ – though we forget quite why it is so good… One place you will not forget however is the Casino Chamonix Mont Blanc where your wallet is sure to offer some clues on how the evening went! And last but not least, if you are looking for a Russian vibe on your nights out then we think we have the club for you! Bunker nightclub has a strong Russian influence, reflected in their large vodka offering; with around 45 different flavours, we're sure you'll find something to tickle the taste buds.
