Resturants in La Plagne
PLACES FOR LUNCH

Throughout the resort there are an enormous choice of mountain restaurants. We especially recommend that you visit Les Dou du Praz for a quick lunch and try one of their fantastic burgers or delicious hot chocolates. Another restaurant to try out is the Chalet des Verdons Sud which has some stunning panoramic views across the Vanoise glaciers – you can even spy Courchevel – just look for the runway! This is at the bottom of three fantastic long sweeping blue runs, so the last skiing before your lunch break is sure to be a good one!

Another favourite restaurant in the area is the Chalet de la Grande Rochette restaurant which is easily accessible to all (even if you are not on skis or a snowboard) being just at the top of the Funiplagne Grande Rochette. At an altitude of 2500m you get both the incredible views, but thanks to the south facing terrace, you also get the best sun on those bluebird days – so top up the goggle tan and tuck into the great range of food they have here!

PLACES FOR DINNER

When it comes to great food, the Ski Weekends team are always quick to offer personal recommendations. Belle Plagne is a particularly great spot for dining and can be rather atmospheric in the evening. The quaint village is lit up at night like a Christmas tree and has a wide selection of restaurants that will widely appeal to all foodies.

The Hotel Carlina offers some fantastic food combined with terrific service. In town, however, check out Le Matafan for more traditional Savoyard cuisine, La Coche for a fantastic Raclette or La Casetta for freshly made pizza - here we can fully recommend the Indiana pizza!

Why not have a night at one of the oldest restaurants in town, Le Refuge. Whilst it may hold this title, the restaurant has managed to move with the times and serves some of the best food in La Plagne whilst keeping its Savoyard character and exceptional service. There are some great sharing meals here such as the cheese fondue or let the kids cook by grilling your own meat at the table! Le Refuge serves a great variety of dishes and has an adjoining bar that is open until 2 am – even better is that Le Refuge also have a takeaway service if you don’t fancy eating in the restaurant.
