SNOW CONDITIONS IN LA PLAGNE

Due to high altitude, with most runs in La Plagne sitting between 2000m and 2700m, La Plagne is a reasonably snow sure resort. Some of the lower runs leading down to the villages such as Champagny can get hit by the sun but fear not because the snow making in these areas has vastly improved in recent years and quickly replenishes any snow lost.

La Plagne gets an average snowfall of around 524cm each season which is just part of why the resort stayed open for 136 days in the 2015/16 season. The other reason is because La Plagne is an incredibly well kept resort, with the piste maintenance second to none. This means that there is a great base of snow, and then anything else on top is a bonus for you lucky skiers and snowboarders to glide over!

Is La Plagne snow sure? With access to high elevation skiing on the glacier and an above average snowfall, La Plagne has an excellent snow sure rating alongside nearby Les Arcs.
