Outdoor bar in the snowy Courchevel 1650

APRES-SKI IN COURCHEVEL 1650

Courchevel Moriond (1650) has a good mix of bars and restaurants which are much more reasonably priced than places in 1850. The centre of Courchevel Moriond sees most of the entertainment, although there are a few bars located on the slopes that attract guests after a day’s skiing or snowboarding. Popular bars in Courchevel Moriond include The Seven Kings (formerly the Bubble Bar), Le Pelican and the Funky Fox.

A nice place to stop for a nice drink after a long day on the slopes is the ‘Fire and Ice Bar’, which is part of the Portetta hotel. Sit down and snuggle up in fur snugs by its log burning fires or sit up at the heated bar seating whilst enjoying a selection of their drinks. With the largest terrace in Courchevel 1650 there is no doubting that it is a great spot for a relaxed drink – buy a drink or ice-shot between 4.30pm and 7 pm and you will even get a slice of pizza on them!

We're also big fans of Schuss, a lovely bar opposite the Ariondaz escalator, and arguably has the best vin chaud in the whole of Courchevel. Grab a sofa at the back and settle in for a couple of hours post-skiing.

Courchevel 1650 Nightlife

Courchevel Moriond (1650), although quieter than other resorts in the area has some great bars for night time entertainment. With a variety of bars to suit everyone, enjoy the live bands, rustic French bars and dancing until the early hours of the morning.

Funky Fox is a bar/restaurant/pub located at the top end of Courchevel Moriond near the supermarket. This is the bar everyone turns to after other bars close as dancing carries on here until 4 am. It offers everything you could want from a night out such as live music, DJs, pool tables and even a drum and bass night which attracts not only the tourists but locals too.

The Seven Kings opened it's doors in December 2022 and has become a bit hit. With plenty of beers on tap, as well as a great gin and cocktail selection, this place is must go to, especially on one of their DJ nights.

Le Pelican (formerly La Boulotte) is a great apres bar in Courchevel 1650. Enjoy raucous apres with 3 live music sessions a week – Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Get yourself a beer and settle in for sing-along tunes, Genepi shots, and maybe a dance on a table. Excellent chicken wings and burgers here too.

For a quiet, intimate drink head to the typically Savoyard French bar, Le Schuss. It’s more expensive than average drinks in Courchevel Moriond but it's a quaint place to go if you want to escape the crowds of other bars in the resort.
