SKI Area
- Courchevel Moriond (formerly Courchevel 1650) is well linked to the Three Valleys meaning you have full access to 600km of piste.
- If you are up for a challenge, set your alarm for an early start and take on the 10 resorts in one-day challenge.
- Some great fast lifts in the area with short queues to get maximum ski time.
- A great variety of blue and red runs to try out around the Courchevel area and further afield.
- Great challenges for experienced skiers and snowboarders with some great off and on-piste skiing.
- A great terrain park (Family Park) for all abilities with a great variety of features throughout the season.
The Courchevel ski area is part of The Three Valleys which is the largest ski area the world, complete with 600km of piste, 169 modern ski lifts and well over 2000 snowmaking machines. The Courchevel area itself offers 63 ski lifts with 117 downhill skiing runs and guaranteed snow cover which is helped by its own 562 snow cannons. Whether you are an off-piste enthusiast or a first-timer, Courchevel offers skiing suitable for everyone no matter what age and ability you may be!
The ski area, just above the village provides slopes for beginners and early intermediates wanting to build up their confidence. Higher up in the resort you will find sweeping blue and red runs leading from the Chanrossa, Signal and Chapelets lifts that are all well worth a try.

Advanced
Those looking for a challenge should head over to runs located just above Courchevel (1850). There you can easily access the steep black runs from the Chanrossa chair and try out a couple of the couloirs. For the experts who wish to get their hearts racing, try out Courchevel’s famous steep black run ‘The Grand Couloir’ or if you have a 3 Valley’s pass, drop into the Couloir Tournier!
Intermediates
The ski area of Courchevel Moriond has predominantly green and blue runs making it a popular resort amongst families. Intermediates wanting to improve their turns should head to the often under crowded high blues accessed by the Pyramide double drag. The 3 red runs, Chapelets, Rochers and Bel Air are quite short but you will be able to cruise through the trees and are generally much quieter due to their location.
Beginners
Beginners will love the slow and gentle runs in Courchevel Moriond, as they can cruise down scenic and winding runs such as Pyramide for more confident beginners. There is also a good network of nursery slopes just above Courchevel Moriond which can be accessed by the ‘Mickey’ lift. Beginners looking to progress should take the Ariondaz lift to the top of the Petite Bosse which leads onto the Praline green run and later links up with the Belvedere green run leading back down to the village.
Snowboarders
Courchevel has lots to offer snowboarders, particularly at the two terrain parks located just above Courchevel (1850) such as the Family Park. Snowboarders should definitely try out the Saulire red run from the top of the Saulire cable car and the runs located underneath Vizelle for a bit of a challenge. Try to avoid the large runs from Gravelles, Pralong and Indiens as they have lots of flat sections. Try out some of the awesome off-piste in the area as well!
Off Piste*
Courchevel has some truly excellent spots for a bit of off-piste skiing which includes steep couloirs and powder bowls. You should hire a guide if you wish to ski the best of the fresh powder. After fresh snow, there are lots of nice routes leading down through the trees and under the lifts in Courchevel Moriond. Off-piste enthusiasts will find some excellent skiing from the top of the Creux Noirs chairs or you can head over towards the Col De La Loze for some more!
