snow conditions in Meribel mottaret

At an altitude of around 1700m, Meribel Mottaret is one of the higher resorts in the Alps. What does this mean? Well for starters it means it gets better snow than the lower resorts and that it keeps its snow better due to (marginally!) lower temperatures.

With Mottaret being both East and West facing, it tends to get a good amount of sun throughout the day, which is great for the fair weather skiers! Don’t see this as too much of a bad thing for the snow though, as the majority of the runs in the ‘Trois Vallees’ are above 1800m, which means that even from Mottaret you will mainly need to go up higher where the snow conditions are even better!

The Meribel ski area is well supported by 80km by one of the classic ski solutions, artificial snowmaking for the runs lower down that are more affected by adverse weather conditions for skiing, so you can be sure that the snow will be great during your ski weekend away. The slopes are also very well maintained by the pisteurs in the area, which all help in keeping the snow in tip-top condition for your visit throughout the winter season which is generally from the start of December through to the end of April for Meribel Mottaret.

Is Meribel Mottaret snow sure? Meribel Mottaret is a guaranteed snow resort during the winter season though, so stop panicking as the snow is bound to be great!
