MERIBEL - THE RESORT

Méribel is located in the heart of the 3 Valley’s ski area and was founded way back in 1938 by a British man named Peter Lindsay. The resort, therefore, carries a bit of a British influence if not with the buildings then with the locals with a strong British presence and many British seasonaires heading over to the Méribel slopes!

Méribel is actually made up of several different villages which are all well connected by a free and fairly regular bus service. This service starts with Les Allues (A) and works its way up the valley, through Raffort and Méribel Village to Chaudanne and Méribel centre. There are other bus lines that then connect Méribel to Mottaret (D) and the Altiport/Rond Point (C) both going from Chaudanne.

Méribel is a lovely village full of charm with wood cladded buildings in the centre and beautiful wooden chalets dotted around the valley. Méribel, like Courchevel and Val Thorens, is a very suitable destination for luxury skiing holidays with beautiful hotels around the centre with great access points to the slopes. It is also great for those looking to ski the 3 Valleys at more of a budget price with such a variety of hotels and restaurants in the area offering great value for money for your ski weekend away with us!
