Large crowded bar on the Val Thorens slopes

APRES-SKI IN VAL THORENS

Over the recent years, Val Thorens has now become a go-to hot spot for après ski and nightlife with the fantastic Folie Douce and the largest nightclub in the Alps, Le Malaysia. You will find plenty of spots to keep you entertained into the early hours during your stay.

Val Thorens is a very popular resort with students and groups so you will be spoilt for choice for après fun. At night, the resort springs into life with underground bars and clubs resulting in one of the best après ski scenes in Europe.

At the top of the Plein Sud chairlift is La Folie Douce, this is a fantastic venue with a huge open terrace offering stunning views of the resort. Here you will be entertained with live music and DJs every day from 12 pm. This Folie Douce is seen by many as the best of the entire chain, how could you say no to testing that out?

Another great destination for après ski in Val Thorens can be found on the main run back to the resort is the 360 bar. This slope sidebar starts to liven up from 3 pm, it’s more laid back compared to other bars but drinks are generally cheaper than other spots.

Val Thorens Nightlife

Val Thorens boasts the highest après ski in Europe so if it’s lively bars you’re after then this is definitely the resort for you. There are three nightclubs – Klub Summit, Malaysia and Baramix, all generally free entry except on special occasions such as New Year’s Eve.

Klub Summit is the highest club in Europe located on the main bar street, playing everything from cheesy tunes to a mixture of rock classics and house hits. Malaysia is the largest nightclub in the Alps and have had some of the world’s top DJ’s playing there such as Calvin Harris, Chase & Status and Rudimental. Baramix is at the end of the rue Piétonne de Caron and is said to be one of the best bars in Val Thorens.

From live music to beer pong tournaments you will find everything to keep you entertained at Panda. The venue is spread over two floors and you can slurp up anything from mojito slushies to ice cold beer.

Proudly said to be the highest pub in Europe, The Frog and Roast Beef is a typical English style venue which attracts a young crowd. If you love loud music, dancing on tables and an Ale challenge or two then this is definitely the venue for you.
