SNOW CONDITIONS IN ZERMATT
High altitude is usually synonymous with great snow-sure conditions, and Zermatt is no exception. Home to some of the highest slopes in Europe (not only on the glacier but some runs are above 3000 metres!), many of which are north facing, means that snow conditions in Zermatt are pretty reliable.
Furthermore, there are terrific snowmaking facilities on some of the lower slopes ensuring that skiers have a consistent cover; this is also enhanced by terrific piste grooming and general snow management throughout the entire resort.
Is Zermatt snow sure? With its incredibly high elevation, all the way to 3883m, Zermatt is usually very reliable on the upper slopes, while to lower slopes are taken care of with snow cannons.
