Further ABTA Update

Today ABTA held a webinar for members, whilst there was some useful information, there is a lack of definitive clarity.

We are also all waiting for the government Minister of Tourism to clarify how to proceed with certain keys issues.

We anticipate, subject to confirming a few facts, that we will be in a position before the end of the week, to share a clear update on how to progress towards resolving your booking.

We really do appreciate your understanding in allowing us time to respond with clear information.

We wish you all the very best in these difficult times.

Yours Sincerely,

Dan & Sarah Fox

ABTA Update

It has been busy weekend progressing this matter, this included a conference call with the government tourism minister on Sunday.

ABTA have now requested that all members to join them on a virtual meeting tomorrow in order to clarify their position with tour operators.

We assure you as soon as we have any definitive news we will be in touch will all those effected.

Thank you once again for your patience.

 Yours Sincerely,

Dan & Sarah Fox

Update on resolving the ski trip you have booked.

Thank you for your continued patience.

You will be aware that the UK Government has now banned non-essential travel worldwide as part of efforts to halt the spread of COVID-19. This means that, unfortunately, you will not be able to travel in the next 30 days. As a result your ski holiday sadly won’t be able to go ahead.

Our priority to date has been ensuring the safety of current guests and our team in the mountains. I am pleased to say that, despite the challenges for everyone involved, by the end of today all guests and staff who were in our resorts will have returned home.

We are now turning our attention to those customers who have been unable to or have not yet travelled.  We want to ensure that together we work with you to take the correct steps to ensure that you are not out of pocket and that your money is protected.  The situation is unprecedented and we are in close contact with the British government, CAA/ATOL, ABTA, insurers and other tour operators; there is real progress being made towards a clear route forwards.

ABTA has said there will be an announcement on Monday, we will update you as soon as we have clarification.

As we have over 800 people to help, we will progressively contact you in departure order.  We will start with those due to travel on 16th and 18th March exclusively; we expect this will take us well into next week. We will get to you as quickly as possible.

We respectfully ask that you hold back from contacting us, we want to ensure we deal with everyone correctly and fairly, please do watch your email for our updates next week. We would advise you not to rush your claim as in these unusual circumstances this could compromise your chances of fully recovering what you have paid. We want to reassure you, we adhere to government advice and ABTA guidelines and your money is ATOL protected.

Full details of the official government advice here can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-advice-novel-coronavirus .

As a business, we have followed advice from the British Government and all of the UK team are home working. Whilst we are fully set up for this, in reality it is likely to slow down our processes to some extent.

We understand that these are unprecedented times and I thank you for your understanding and support. Our number one focus is on getting this right so you will be happy to hit the slopes with us for many years to come.

Thank you for your continued patience and we wish you well during these difficult times.

Yours Sincerely,

Dan & Sarah Fox

Advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth office (FCO)

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises British people against all non-essential travel worldwide. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-advice-novel-coronavirus

We are currently still dealing with all our last clients in the resort and if you are in the resort you should have had communications from us already.

In these unprecedented times, we are still in discussion with official bodies to clarify the next steps. Our priority will be to contact those who have already missed their departure, realistically this will take us several days. For other departure dates, you can be assured that we will be in touch as soon as we can.

For other departure dates, you can be assured that we will be in touch as soon as we can.

In line with the government guidelines, we have closed the office and are all working from home; as you can imagine our resources are stretched to the maximum so in the meantime we ask that you do not contact us and that you keep an eye this dedicated page and on your mailbox for any updates.

COVID-19 - CORONAVIRUS UPDATES

This evening the French Government announced that all bars & restaurants and non-essential public places in France are to close this evening.  This was an unexpected announcement that has resulted in all French ski resorts shutting this weekend.

For guests in French ski resorts

The local authorities have decided to close your ski area as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of Coronavirus.  This has come into effect immediately and will mean you are unable to ski.  We are awaiting further government advice.  We will be in touch as soon as possible on Sunday to discuss arrangements for your travel home.  We understand that this unprecedented situation may be unsettling and are very sorry for the disruption to your holiday.  Thank you in advance for your patience.  As we are working on solutions, please refrain from calling us unless you have an emergency.  We assure you we will be in touch on Sunday and are taking guidance from authorities on confirmed information only.

For guests due to travel (all resorts other than Are)

We have been advised by local authorities that your ski resort has now been closed.  We are very sorry you will not be skiing with us.  As you can imagine we now have to resolve hundreds of peoples holidays including those in resort, our priority is to repatriate guests who are currently on holiday.  We are awaiting further clarification from the FCO.

We will be in touch with you during the week and ask for your patience over the coming days. Customers that have booked via a travel agent, your travel agent is your point of contact.

Yours Sincerely,

Dan & Sarah Fox
