Chalet Vallon

Chalet Vallon is on the second floor of a traditional chalet-style apartment building shared with chalets Cascade, Santons and Charvet. 

The living and dining areas boast a homely feeling with plenty of wood panelling. The open plan kitchen is slightly separated leaving more space for the large dining table and comfy, plush seating. Furthermore, the direct access to the balconies provides stunning Bellvarde panoramas.

The chalet is split into two levels with 2 bedrooms located on the ground floor and 4 bedrooms, along with the host room on the upper floor. The small cosy bedrooms are set with twin beds, and are all en-suite with baths or showers, all offering good storage space.  Every bedroom has its own private en-suite facilities which include a WC, washbasin, bath (with a shower attachment but no hook to hang up & no shower screen, its not possible to stand up in this bath) or shower or bath with a shower hung above the bath. The cosy bedrooms all have twin beds and these can be made into a double bed if you wish (please request at time of booking).  Bedrooms 2 & 5 have restricted head height in places due to being under the eaves of the roof of this traditional chalet building.

On arrival you will be welcomed with tea and cake and before dinner on your first evening, there will be a welcome drink. Chalet Vallon is a catered chalet with our Classic chalet board; continental breakfast & delicious afternoon tea and cake are served daily, 

Hot breakfast such as bacon, beans & eggs or a pancake stack (different option each morning)  and porridge with sprinkles and continental breakfast are served on 5 mornings. Continental breakfast only, is served on 2 mornings; pastries, ham, cheese, cereal, yogurt and fruit are self served on these mornings.

Baguette To Go: at breakfast you will be invited to make your own ham & cheese baguette, to take out if you wish.

SkiWeekends chalet evening meals; we all look forward to the homemade 3-course evening meal with carefully selected wine included during dinner service, which is served on 6 evenings. This is all provided by your friendly SkiWeekends host who lives in.

During your stay, your host will cater for special diet requirements at no extra supplement, just so long a it is booked no later than 14 days before travel. 

For families with younger children, a childrens menu can be pre booked before travel at no extra supplement to eat the same time as adult dinner.  When booking the chalet for private sole use, an earlier childrens dinner time (high tea) can be pre-booked for a supplement, a childs menu only is served at high tea.

The kettle is always on at a SkiWeekends chalet for you to help yourself to a great selection of hot drinks, your chalet host will ensure you will not go hungry and have food for energy for great days skiing.

Host Time Off: Please note that your host in this chalet has Wednesday all day off and Saturday morning off, this gives you an opportunity to dine out in Val d'isere where there are plenty of lovely local restaurants, not to mention an excellent choice of bars and shops. On your hosts mornings off, you can help yourself to a delicious continental breakfast, freshly baked croissants delivered to your door, ham & cheese lunch baguettes to go and afternoon tea and cake will be available for you to self serve. 

Pre-booked lift passes will be waiting for you when you arrive at the chalet. Pre-booking these essential extras makes going skiing on arrival day even quicker, allowing you to maximise your time on the slopes.

On check in/check out days there is a bag store and one bedroom will be made available for all guests to use to change and shower before travelling back to the airport.

Self drive guests, there is limited free car parking with restricted access for entry and exit in the underground car park.  Parking  subject to availability, please enquire & book when booking the holiday.

Chalet Vallon is a traditional French Apartment chalet, located within the Residence Le Gettaz on the first floor. Our other Val d'Isere chalets Cascade, Santons and Charvet are in the same residence making these chalets a great option for a large group to stay together in the same residence. Each chalet has it's own private entrance.

You can book just one room or the whole chalet for your friends and family.

For the comfort of all guests and hosts - no pets can stay in chalets

Inviting external suppliers into chalets; such as Ski Hire fit & rental services, instructors/guides, cocktail makers, masseurs, etc requires written permission to be granted from SkiWeekends, before you arrive on your chalet holiday

• Fabulous ski in, ski out location towards the end of Santons red piste (ski out is easy, ski in is red). At the beginning and end of the season this run can close
• Equipment hire pre booked with SkiWeekends is delivered to the chalet
• Lift passes pre booked with SkiWeekends are delivered to the chalet
• 10 minute walk / 5 minute ski to the ski school meet point
• 700m / 13 minute walk to Val d'Isere village centre
• 2 minute walk to blue line bus stop (this bus runs from 0830 to 2320 every 15 minutes to rond pointe de piste. At rond point de piste, connect to red line bus for high street, La Daille or Fornet)

Baby Cots – due to the compact size of the bedrooms, no bedroom is suitable for a cot.

• Arrive on a Thursday and stay for 3, 4 or 7 nights
  • Check-in between 09:30 & 19:00
• Arrive on a Sunday and stay for 4 or 7 nights
  • Check-in between 17:30 & 19:00
• Arrive on a Monday and stay for 3, 6 or 7 nights
  • Check-in between 09:30 & 19:00

Chalet chef & host day off is Wednesday and morning off is Saturday 

Chalet welcome and welcome drink is at 19:00, dinner is served at 19:30

On guest changeover days, between the hours of 09:30 and 17:00, both departing and arriving guests will be sharing the chalet public areas, the chalet is not sole occupancy during this time.

On arrival day - Your bedroom will be ready by 17:00 at the latest but normally earlier.

Late Arrival Supplement - if you choose to arrive at the chalet after 21:30 and no later than 22:30, we will book a host to return to work to let you into the chalet, show you to your room, provide you with information to ensure your ski time is not delayed the next day and to provide you with a light supper. There is a  supplement for late arrivals.  For the comfort of other guests and consideration for your host, there are no arrivals into chalets after 22:30

Check Out - bedroom checkout is 09:00 but we know that you may want to ski until the last minute, so we ensure that there is somewhere for you to leave your bags up until 17:00. Where possible a shower and change area will be made available for you to use too; this cannot be guaranteed until your departure day.

Self Drive - Pre-booking the chalet car parking is essential; only 3 spaces  (max head height 2m) are available for 4 chalets, please book your parking space when you book your holiday

 Restricted access to chalet garage:  Entry and Exit is only possible during the following hours:

• Sunday                                Entry 17:30 –19:00 | Exit 09:30 –11:00 and 17:30 –19:00

Transfers booked with SkiWeekends are mini-bus transfers from the airport will take you directly to the accommodation, and drop you at the door of the chalet.
