Where to stay with groups

Three skiers looking over the slopes

Knowing the best places to stay with a large group of skiers and the best resorts to ski is often the hardest place to start. Let us help you with some recommendations.

Portes du Soleil

The Portes du Soleil ski area boasts over 650km of slopes. The ski area is varied and great for a group ski holiday where the group has mixed skiing abilities. The area links France and Switzerland so you can ski two countries in one day. Transfers of between 1 - 1 ½ hours means it is the perfect ski area for group short breaks to maximise time on the slopes.

Just over an hour from Geneva airport, it’s close proximity allows varied flight times from all over the UK, ideal for a group travelling from different departure points. Morzine boasts lovely restaurants and a range of great après ski activities. Being based in Morzine also gives you easy access to the resorts of Les Gets and Avoriaz.

Les Gets

A quaint French resort, Les Gets is just an hour from Geneva airport and perfect for people flying in from different UK airports. Well linked to Morzine and other areas of the Portes du Soleil it's great for all abilities.

Haute Savoie

Chamonix is just over an hour from Geneva airport. Its close proximity allows varied flight times from all over the UK so you can all fly in from different destinations. Chamonix is known for its challenging skiing as well as the famous Vallee Blanche off piste glacial descent. Another aspect that makes Chamonix so popular for group skiing holidays is the fantastic après scene. Chamonix has a number of exciting après bars and also some of the best choices for non-skiing activities in the Alps.

Three Valleys

The Three Valleys is the most well-known ski area in Europe. It offers more than 650km of inter-linked slopes taking in the well-known resorts of Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens amongst others. A modern and efficient lift system means more time spent on the slopes and some of the most famous après ski in the world including 2 famous Folie Douce bars.

Brides Les Bains

Brides Les Bains is Frances largest Spa town. Brides Les Bains is a great value way of skiing the largest interlinked ski area in the world without paying the high prices of staying in the “big name” resorts of Meribel, Courchevel or Val Thorens. It is just a 20-minute gondola ride from Brides Les Bains to the centre of the resort of Meribel, where your skiing begins and ends.

Les Menuires/Reberty

Situated just below Val Thorens the resort of Les Menuires offers great snow conditions all year and fantastic links to the rest of the Three Valleys ski area. Most of the places to stay in Les Menuires are ski-in, ski-out allowing maximum time on the slopes.

Courchevel 1650

Courchevel 1650 offers the great skiing of the in-demand Courchevel Valley without the high prices of its higher 1850 cousin. A firm favourite with families and smaller groups.
