Avoriaz 'is great for beginners'

Avoriaz ski resort

People thinking of heading on ski weekends for the first time in the coming weeks will find that Avoriaz is an ideal resort to earn their snow stripes, it has been claimed.

Professional snowboarder Jenny Jones, writing for the Daily Mail, said that Avoriaz is an area where beginners and experienced skiers alike can enjoy a trip to the slopes.

She explained that first-timers will find the area particularly agreeable, as it is located right next to Morzine, another great resort for novice skiers and snowboarders.

"They are great for families, you just step out of your hotel or chalet and the nursery slopes are right there," she explained.

Jones recommended that anyone who is going on ski weekends for the first time should practice on dry slopes in the UK first or artificial snow to get to grips with the activity.

Recently, TravelBite pointed out that Morzine is likely to be more popular than ever this year as people take up skiing and snowboarding for the first time.
