Chalet Cascade

Chalet Cascade is located in the Praz de Gittaz area of Val d'Isere on the red Santons piste. In the morning, simply step out from your chalet onto the piste and ski away on a gentle slope that allows you to reach the ski school meet points and main ski lifts in minutes. You'll ski past the excellent L'Etincelles restaurant, as well as Cocorico, one of the best apres ski venues in the Alps.

Not only is Chalet Cascade in a great location, it has exceptional private facilities. There is an outdoor jacuzzi on the terrace which looks onto the stunning Bellevarde mountain, perfect to slip into and relax after skiing. There is also a sauna and a hamman to help relax and revive ahead of your next days skiing in Val d'Isere & Tignes. You can then enjoy relaxing in the lounge & play a board game, or have fun on the pool table downstairs.

Chalet Cascade is on the ground floor of a traditional chalet-style apartment building shared with chalets Santons Vallon and Charvet. 

The chalet is across 2 levels.  The ground floor has all the bedrooms and the spacious open plan lounge dinning lounge area with an enclosed log fire, provides stunning views across the terrace upto the Bellevard mountain. Enjoy home-made cake and afternoon tea/coffee served by our Chalet Hosts whilst you play your favourite tunes connected to the Bluetooth speaker or enjoy watching the smart TV. Every bedroom has its own private ensuite facilities which include a wc, washbasin, shower or bath with a shower hung above the bath. Several bedrooms have direct access onto the terrace where the jacuzzi is located. The cosy bedrooms all have twin beds and these can be made into a double bed if you wish (please request at time of booking). One bedroom has just one single bed.  The lower ground floor has the very special hamman and lounge with pool table.  There is plenty of space to leave luggage and to use the shower facilities on change over days on this floor too.

On arrival you will be welcomed with tea and cake and before dinner on your first evening, there will be a welcome drink with canapes. Chalet Cascade is a catered chalet with  VIP chalet board; our continental breakfast & delicious afternoon tea and cake are served daily, full English cooked breakfast and pancakes and porridge with sprinkles are served on 5 mornings in addition to the daily continental breakfast.

Baguette To Go: at breakfast you will be invited to make your own ham & cheese baguette, to take out if you wish.

SkiWeekends chalet evening meals; we all look forward to the 4-course evening meal, which includes a cheese board with port or petit fours and has carefully selected finer wine included, throughout dinner service, which is served on 6 evenings. This is all provided by your SkiWeekends chef and host who live out.

During your stay, your chef will cater for special diet requirements at no extra supplement, just so long a it is booked no later than a few weeks before travel.

For families with younger children, a childrens menu can be pre booked before travel at no extra supplement.  When booking the chalet for private sole use, an earlier childrens dinner time (high tea) can be pre-booked for a supplement. 

The kettle is always on at a SkiWeekends chalet, for you to help yourself to a great selection of hot drinks and your chalet hosts will ensure you will not go hungry and have food for energy for great days skiing.

Host Time Off: Please note that your chef and host in this chalet, have Tuesday all day off and Saturday morning off, this gives you an opportunity to dine out in the resort on Tuesday evening, where there are plenty of lovely local restaurants, not to mention an excellent choice of bars and shops. On your hosts mornings off, you can help yourself to a delicious continental breakfast, freshly baked croissants delivered to your door, ham & cheese lunch baguettes to go and afternoon tea and cake will be available for you to self serve.   

Pre-booked lift passes will be waiting for you when you arrive at the chalet. Pre-booking these essential extras makes going skiing on arrival day even quicker, allowing you to maximise your time on the slopes.

On check in/check out days there is a bag store and shower area on the lower ground floor to use before and after skiing.

Self drive guests, there is limited free car parking with restricted access for entry and exit in the underground car park.  Parking  subject to availability, please enquire & book when booking the holiday.

Chalet Cascade is a traditional French Apartment chalet, located within the Residence Le Gettaz on the ground floor. SkiWeekends Chalets Santons, Vallons and Charvet are in the same residence making these chalets a great option for a large group to stay together in the same residence.

You can book just one room or the whole chalet for your friends and family.

Note: No pets are allowed in this chalet.

* Due to cleaning, maintenance and refill/reheat time, jacuzzis are not available on arrival days. For your comfort bring  your sliders/flip flops to wear to walk to the outside jacuzzi

** Where the host lives in, they may or may not be the host looking after you during your stay. They have their own room and bathroom but you may see them using the chalet kitchen to prepare their food

We are sorry but the chalet is not suitable for wheelchair access.

• Fabulous ski in, ski out location towards the end of Santons red piste (ski out is easy, ski in is red). At the beginning and end of the season this run can close
• 0 minutes walk to the piste!
• 10 minute walk / 5 minute ski to the ski school meet point
• 700m / 13 minute walk to Val d'Isere village centre
• 2 minute walk to blue line bus stop (this bus runs from 0830 to 2320 every 15 minutes to rond pointe de piste. At rond point de piste, connect to red line bus for high street, La Daille or Fornet)

Ski & Boot Rooms - Chalet Santons has its own secure boot lockers with boot heaters located in a communcal room with other chalets in the same building on the lower ground floor.  Access to the boot room is by steps or a lift. Chalet Santons has three large, secure lockers for skis or boards only, located at the piste access entrance. 

Under-ground Car Parking - located on the lower ground floor are 3 FREE car parking spaces, these are shared between all four of the SkiWeekends chalets in the same building.  Pre-booking your car parking space is essential.  As its a secure car park, access is restricted to during host working hours only.  Please call SkiWeekends no later than 14 days before travel to arrange access on arrival and departure days.

On guest changeover days, between the hours of 09:30 and 17:00, both departing and arriving guests will be sharing the chalet public areas, the chalet is not sole occupancy during this time.

On arrival day - Your bedroom will be ready by 17:00 at the latest but normally earlier.

Late Arrival Supplement - if you choose to arrive at the chalet after 21:30 and no later than 22:30, we will book a host to return to work to let you into the chalet, show you to your room, provide you with information to ensure your ski time is not delayed the next day and to provide you with a light supper. There is a  supplement for late arrivals.  For the comfort of other guests and consideration for your host, there are no arrivals into chalets after 22:30

Check Out - bedroom checkout is 09:00 but we know that you may want to ski until the last minute, so we ensure that there is somewhere for you to leave your bags and change up until 17:00. 

Self Drive - Pre-booking the chalet car parking is essential; only 3 spaces  (max head height 2m) are available for 4 chalets, please book your parking space when you book your holiday

 Restricted access to chalet garage:  Entry and Exit is only possible during the following hours:

Your mini-bus transfer from the airport will drop you at the door of the chalet.
