HEILIGENBLUT - Coming Soon!  - NEW for 2024-2025 ski season

While it might not be as well known by British skiers as other Austrian resorts, Heiligenblut presents an abundance of opportunities for freeride ski and snowboard enthusiasts, boasting untouched snow and access to some of Austria's highest backcountry terrain.

Nestled in a picturesque village at the base of Großglockner, Austria's highest mountain, on the border between Carinthia and East Tyrol, Heiligenblut is enveloped by breathtaking natural beauty. The slopes here remain pleasantly quiet and primarily consist of blue and red runs in two distinct areas. With a total of 12 lifts, including three gondolas, the resort offers access to 55 kilometers of meticulously groomed runs. However, what truly sets Heiligenblut apart is its extensive freeride terrain.

Thanks to its high-altitude location in Northern Carinthia, Heiligenblut's six freeride arenas provide excellent snow conditions for much of the season. Moreover, the absence of crowds ensures that these slopes remain untracked for extended periods, making it a paradise for those seeking off-piste adventures and untouched powder. For those looking to explore beyond the beaten path and immerse themselves in the serene beauty of the Austrian Alps, Heiligenblut is a hidden gem worth discovering.

Ski Bus

The get from hotel to the valley station and back there is a free ski bus that operates throughout the day until the lifts close.
